Encapsulated is a minimalist 3D puzzle game built around a single core idea: scale changes everything.

You explore a series of interconnected domes, shrinking and growing your character to access nested spaces and unlock new paths. Each dome is color-coded and contains a terminal that affects the world at a different scale. Progress requires observation, backtracking, and understanding how spaces fit inside one another.

The game was created in 4 days for GMTK Game Jam 2024, where the theme was “Built to Scale.”

Gameplay Overview

  • Change your size to navigate environments at different scales
  • Explore color-coded domes, each tied to the next dome
  • Interact with computers to unlock new domes
  • White domes act as hubs, containing two smaller domes within
  • Visual and environmental feedback replaces UI

Your goal is simple: interact with every terminal to unlock the final exit.

Credits

All models were made by me with blender.  The player character was fetched and customised from https://mixamo.com . The sound effects was made with the website https://sfxr.me. The game was made using the Godot Engine v4.3. And a special thanks to beacastro for the game testing.
